How often do you visit a place you have not heard about much but are curious enough to go and explore it by yourself? One such destination may be Nawalparasi West or simply Parasi in Province 5. As the saying goes, ‘To Travel is to Live’. If you take my advice for an experience and adventurer – Parasi might be the place you are seeking for a change of your traveling experience.
Blending into the Lifestyle
In today’s busy times,we are so accustomed to the bustling and hustling kind of lifestyle. But the environment at Parasi is eerily very serene. Sure, it’s a place that can be termed as deserted but the more you try blending here, the more you figure out an aura that is strangely calming.

The oddness is camouflaged with the amusement park like chaos on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the famous haat bazaar takes place. The haat bazaar there is very popular among the locals –it is the day when you get to experience the feel of a fair, with endless shops to choose items from, variety of stuffs as you move around ranging from foods to clothes to jewelleries. Everything and everyone at one place, quite an experience, isn’t it? . Upon visiting the haat bazar you can feel the excitement clawing through your body, urging you to explore the frenzy time of the place.

Moreover, to mould yourself finely in this unknown place, the fascinating language with its appealing tones and their way of speaking gets to you very easily. You would surely have a bit of a surprise upon people speaking to you in their local language, but nonetheless you would get used to it and even get charmed by the unique sound of the language. And guess what, in a few days time, you may start speaking like them too.
As for us, we are so used to a Saturday being our day of Holiday, this place would give you a surprise to experience a Saturday Holiday on a Friday. Friday is the weekend holiday for the locals here where everyone is free to celebrate their holiday- shops all closed, free time to stay home, schools closed… Make sure you know this fact or else you may just get the shock of your life while you plan to go shopping on a Friday!
Between the Greens

Are you a nature lover or someone who loves greenery? Well, this is the perfect place to wrap yourself amidst the beauty of nature adorned by the endless green fields all around. If you only strolled around the main roads – you would certainly miss out on getting to scrutinize the beautiful nature behind the deserted looking place. All season around you can engulf yourself to lounge in the harmonious greenery. So, make sure you explore the inner gallis and narrow lanes and not only stroll the main roads.
Inhaling the Scents of Parasi

If you are in search of a peace without having to go to the Himalayas and on a budget. This is the perfect place. Situated in Parasi is another amazing place: Ramgram Stupa – A peaceful stupa that emanates the aura and calmness of Gautam Buddha. As soon as you enter the place the scents of peace hit you right up to the inner heart and mind and you feel the stress draining out. Surrounded by the green fields, the soothing sounds of the local life echoing in the background, close your eyes and you will feel tranquillity taking you to swim in the pools of nature.

The aroma of peace is also customised with the mouth watering scents of the street foods in corners and even the main roads of Parasi. Fulkis,Chatpate and other locally popular snacks force you to surrender and treat your taste buds with the flavors of those dishes. Moreover, the place is compact with a variety of sweet shops offering you mouth watering sweets of various styles and tastes that you would not want to miss. The scents float all over the place and would be all the reason to make you want to visit the place again if you are a desperate food lover!!
